The Crest

 

The overall objective of the Crest is to play an active role in the international development of research in the following areas:
• Economic sciences, their applications and the evaluation of public policies
• Social sciences, and sociology
• Applied mathematics, and statistical methods
• Finance and actuarial science

The functions and activities of the Crest are numerous:
Produce and disseminate research, organize conferences, build relationships with other research centers, participate in the training of young researchers, develop exchanges between the Insee and the academic environments, etc.

The Crest having the support of a laboratory of excellence with its partners (École Polytechnique, HEC and Ensae-Crest), it was possible to develop research in the fields of this Labex.

The Labex Ecodec is structured around five research areas:
1 - Secure careers in a globalized world
2 - Failure of financial markets and regulation
3 - Regulation of the market of goods and consumer decisions
4 - Evaluate public policies and the decisions of companies
5 - New challenges for new data sources

The Labex provides funding for conferences and research seminars, and promotes exchanges and collaborations between researchers at an international level.

The major research projects have received significant funding:
- The chair Securing of career paths,
- The chair control of risks and systemic risks (Banque de France - ACP),
- The domain of major interest on suffering at work (Region Ile-de-France).
